The City of Goodyear requires that all pool and spa water discharges be kept on owner's property or discharged to a sanitary sewer clean-out of private property. Allowing water to run on other people's property, public rights-of-way, or open space is illegal (City Code 11-1-16 and 14-5-7).
Goodyear water & sewer customers are required to submit a pool drain permit application prior to draining a pool. After you submit the application, you will be notified by 5PM the following business day by email that your permit has been approved or if additional information is required. (Add [email protected] to your contacts to help ensure delivery and/or check your spam folder).
This permit is for all City of Goodyear sewer service customers, which includes residents south of I-10 and residents of Sedella and Canada Village. View our Water & Sewer Service Area Lookup to confirm your provider.
If you have any questions concerning the permit or draining process, see FAQs, or this informational document. For additional questions, call 623-932-3010, option 3 and ask for Pool Drain Permit personnel. You may wish to seek professional assistance from a qualified individual specializing in pool drainage.
